THE EVENT: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October 19-21, 2007. After last year's successful debut, The Big Apple Glass Art & Bead Festival returns again to New York City. It is on a weekend with other bead shows, making it convenient for tri-state area residents to see more vendors and to choose among a wider selection of workshops. Again, the Soft Flex® Company and Bead Unique Magazine are presenting the Festival in association with us, The Bead Society of Greater New York. The $5 entrance fee will be donated to our organization. All BSGNY members enter free, with proof of current membership.

Shopping. Presented by the Soft Flex Company, this festival features a juried Show of 45+ vendor spaces — Featuring a wide range of Beads, Gemstones, Findings, Collectible Glass Art & Jewelry.

Classes & Workshops. All classes are being presented by Bead Unique Magazine. Learn basic to advanced stringing, beading, wire working, and more. Beginner beaders always welcome. Show Times & Location. Friday, October 19th, 12:00pm to 7:00pm; Saturday, October 20th, 10:00am to 6:00pm; and Sunday, October 21st, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Radisson Martinique on Broadway, 39 West 32nd Street, New York NY 10001.

Entrance Fee. $5.00: General Public. $4.00 for other Bead and Craft Associations and students of the Fashion Institute of Technology with current ID/memberhip card.

VOLUNTEERS, RESERVE YOUR PLACE NOW! To plan for this event, we need BSGNY volunteers for the following in 2 hour shifts: (1) To maintain the entrance table and collect admission fees (2) to preside at the the BSGNY Membership Table to welcome guests, answer questions and distribute print materials about our organization. Volunteers are also needed to assist instructors in classes and workshops. Prior to the Festival, we will need members to help spread the word and do pre-show promotion.
